Carbonara Style Asian Noudles

A jar of tangy, cheesy garlic sauce is a must for your kitchen. It serves well with dishes like pasta, pizza, chicken wings, beef, and more!

Ingredients

4 portions of Asian noodles (Udon, Soba, Konjac sanghai, etc...)
6 slices of bacon
125 ml tofu, crumbled
2 eggs, yolks removed
45 mL peanut butter
15 mL honey
15 mL hot sauce (Sambal Oelek, Sriracha or other...)
125 mL parmesan cheese, grated
15 ml sesame oil
500 ml sautéed vegetables (bell bell pepper, broccoli, snow peas, etc...)

Method

STEP 1

In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the noodles Al dente, keeping the cooking water until the end of the preparation.

STEP 2

In the meantime, in a hot skillet, brown the bacon and tofu for 5 to 6 minutes until crisp. Set aside.

STEP 3

In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, peanut butter, honey, hot sauce, Parmesan and sesame oil.

STEP 4

Stir half of the noodle cooking water into the mixture.

STEP 5

Add cooked noodles and mix.

STEP 6

Divide noodles, tofu and bacon mixture among bowls and serve with sautéed vegetables.
